Benefit Education

Many employees do not understand their benefits. Beneport strives to communicate benefits in simple to understand terms, not insurance-speak. We train our Benefit Coaches to take each employee’s situation and needs into consideration without high-pressure sales tactics. During enrollment meetings, Benefit Coaches help employees understand the relationship and differences between core and voluntary benefit programs. For example, the Benefit Coach can help employees see how employer-provided basic life insurance protects them while they are working at their employer, while voluntary permanent life insurance can give them additional financial protection that can travel with them, should they change jobs or retire.

Additionally, we work with employers on any areas of need. For example, an employer may want to increase participation in a particular benefit, like Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs). Beneport will work with the employer to determine objectives and a communication/education strategy to help employees understand the value of participating in FSAs, perhaps even taking employee elections during the meeting. We can arrange training sessions to help employees become more familiar with enrolling in their benefits via the web. We can work with you on virtually any type of education and communication campaign!

With increased understanding of their total benefits package, comes higher employee appreciation of the investment employers make in providing those benefits. This can mean higher employee retention and even the ability to attract new employees.
